A bit about me

My name is Kate and I am a psychotherapist. I started my career as a writer specialising in health, beauty and wellbeing. I loved my job but I was also hungry for more human connection and purpose. This coincided with a difficult period in my life when the support of a great therapist proved truly life-changing – inspiring me to retrain as a psychotherapist and make this work part of who I am.

I love how therapy helps you look at your life objectively, question the labels you carry and feel supported to explore those difficult emotions you keep locked away. My job is a huge privilege and something I am excited to get up and do every day.

I hope that my style – empathic, kind and curious – is a good fit for you, but the most important thing is to find a therapist you feel you can really be yourself with.

My approach

I am trained in integrative relational therapy. In simple terms, this means I can use different therapy approaches to suit you best.  For instance, I may draw on CBT principles to help you break through bad habits or existential theory to explore who you are and your sense of meaning.

Our work is collaborative: I invite you to be an active participant, to set your own goals, and share feedback.

Our work is relational: our relationship becomes a safe, non-judgemental space where you can explore how you relate everywhere else.

I draw on these core principles plus my own interest in mindfulness and spirituality to offer you a therapeutic space that’s tailored to you.
